Anthoula Malkopoulou wins the York Political Theory Manuscript competition
2022-08-12
The York Political Theory Manuscript competition is awarded annually to a book in political theory which is close to completion. This year's winner is Anhtoula Malkopoulou's book-in-progress "Theories of Democratic Self Defense".
The winning manuscript is the subject of a dedicated workshop taking place on 12 September at the University of York with contributions from Monica Brito Vieira (University of York), Alexander Kirshner (Duke University), Alasia Nuti (University of York) and Jonathan White (London School of Economics).
The workshop provides a structure for generating constructive, informed criticism on book manuscripts close to completion but still at a stage where they can benefit from a review. The workshop’s aim is to make the book manuscript as strong as possible prior to submission for publication.
